Dear Napa Dude in Newcastle

We (being my sweetheart and I) have been loyal customers over the years. We have purchased countless things for my various cars over the years from you (unless we had no choice in the matter). To be told this morning that you basically refused to sell my sweetheart the part that he needs to fix my car (on the grounds that he isn't a good enough mechanic) is dumb.

There hasn't been a problem one of our beaters have had that he hasn't been able to fix. The only time he requires someone else to help is if the car needs hooked to a machine we don't have. (Then 9 times out of 10, he still fixes it he just needs to be sure he is correct in "what is wrong.")

2 months ago he changed my head gaskets (this is a 1997 Ford Taurus), in a day and a half. This is something that a NOT GOOD ENOUGH MECHANIC couldn't have done. It is also only a small example of what he can do. He doesn't like working on cars, otherwise he could have chosen to be a mechanic for goodness sake!

You made a huge mistake, and I want to let you know it. (The need of the car this time? An air conditioning pump installed, along with a new belt...)

 

PS/ I am still not up to par but I feel a little better today...
